Silverlion Technologies (Pty) Ltd is a South African company, and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) is the law behind this page. It covers this website and the company. What happens to information inside MiSalon is set out in the MiSalon privacy policy.
This website
- It sets no cookies and runs no trackers or analytics.
- It loads nothing from other companies' servers: the fonts and pictures are on our own server.
- It has no forms. If you want to reach us, you email us.
- Like every web server, ours keeps a technical log of requests: the internet address a request came from, the page asked for, and the time. We use it only to keep the site working and safe.
When you email us
We use your name, your email address and what you tell us to answer you, and for nothing else. We keep the conversation for as long as we need it to help you, and as long as the law says we must keep records.
MiSalon, MiBarber, MiSpa and MiNails
Inside the app, each salon is the responsible party for its clients' information, and we are the operator: we keep it safe and only do what the salon asks with it. We never sell it, and we never use a salon's client list for our own marketing. It is kept on servers in South Africa, and backups stay in South Africa. The MiSalon privacy policy has the full detail.
Your rights
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Have anything that is wrong fixed.
- Ask for your information to be deleted, except records the law says we must keep.
- Object to marketing at any time.
- Complain to us, and to the Information Regulator of South Africa (enquiries@inforegulator.org.za) if we do not put it right.
If you are a client of a salon that uses MiSalon, your details belong to the salon, so ask the salon first. We help them answer.
If something goes wrong
If personal information is lost or reaches someone it should not have, we tell the people affected and the Information Regulator as soon as we know, and we say exactly what happened.
